Community Corner

Local lowdown on community groups, organisations, events, regional news and items of interest.

“Community” could be seen as an invisible web that connects us with each other. It is not a place or particular organisation alone. It is also a state of mind as much as a set of relationships among people. Communities may invoke a sense of belonging, trust and concern for each other and strive to meet common needs and interests. Here we endeavour to promote formal and informal community groups and share information or regional items of interest that may affect our local communities in Palmerston North and the neighbouring districts of Manawatu, Rangitikei & Tararua. If you would like to be featured here please send us an email with the details, we are happy to promote your group or venture.
