Eketahuna is a small rural service town, the most southerly in the Tararua District in the Manawatu-Wanganui region of the Lower North Island. Eketahuna is not only a great place to live but a place for a relaxing getaway or an outdoor escape - fishing and hiking. Early pioneers originally named the town Mellemskov, which means “Heart of the Forest”.
